Change the Company Number of an Asset

You can only change the company number of an asset through the Relocation and Internal Sales tab of the Fixed Assets workspace and through Asset Relocation and Asset Internal Sale single dialogs.

When you change the company of an asset, Maconomy creates a new asset for the new company number with the total value of the old asset. The system reverts all the entries in the old asset. There is no transaction history from the old asset when you view the new asset. The new asset only has a single entry with the asset transaction currency of another company, which may have a different currency than the asset base currency.
