CRM Concepts
This section details the integration between Deltek CRM and Maconomy.
This integration enables Maconomy customers to use Deltek CRM to manage contacts and opportunities while utilizing Maconomy for their ERP solution.
This document is divided into three main sections:
- Setup, which includes setup on both systems as well as the initial integration
- Routine Steps, such as syncing employees
- Common Errors
The following prerequisites are required:
- Maconomy 2.6.1
- Vantagepoint 3.0
- Configurations in both Deltek CRM and Maconomy are completed.
- Creation of user-defined fields and hubs are completed in Deltek CRM.
Starting with Maconomy 2.5.1, the Vantagepoint SOAP API is deprecated in Vantagepoint version 3.0, and the Deltek CRM Integration migrated to REST API.
With the changes in the Vantagepoint API, companies can no longer be set to inactive in Vantagepoint CRM. Consequently, the functionality where a customer is deleted in Maconomy, and the corresponding company in Vantapoint CRM is set to inactive is removed.
Integration now works with the new projects concept in Deltek CRM introduced with Vantagepoint. Prior to this release, Maconomy integrated to opportunities in Deltek CRM.
This document continues to refer to opportunities to distinguish between Maconomy projects and Deltek CRM projects.
