System Administration Controls

Use screens in the System Administration Controls application group to establish settings and defaults for the entire Costpoint system, set up companies to a Costpoint database, and manage system codes used throughout the system.

Configure System Settings

This screen is divided into five independent information blocks with the first block consisting of five tabs. Use the fields in these blocks to set up basic settings and defaults for the entire system.

Set Up Company Documentation for Ask Dela

Configure URLs to your organization's documentation to enable Ask Dela to access and use the content within these documents when responding to related inquiries. Supported file formats are PDF, DOC, DOCX, and HTML.

Customize the Learning Videos Banner

Add training videos from your organization directly within Costpoint. Link and manage your videos for the Welcome Screen and control which learning videos users see to provide targeted guidance. These videos can align to a role or responsibility, making it easier to learn new features, follow key workflows, and stay up to date without leaving the application.

Manage Locales

Use the table window in this screen to set up report locales, which specify how report data should be formatted regarding language, numbers, and date/time preferences.

Set Up Company

Use this screen to add new companies to a current Costpoint database.

Configure User Preferences

Use the fields on the Configure User Preferences screen to change the user preferences set up by the system administrator on the Manage Users screen.

System Codes

Use screens under System Codes to create or maintain system codes used throughout Costpoint. Codes include commodity, tax, nature of transaction, and correction codes.
