Customize the Learning Videos Banner

Add training videos from your organization directly within Costpoint. Link and manage your videos for the Welcome Screen and control which learning videos users see to provide targeted guidance. These videos can align to a role or responsibility, making it easier to learn new features, follow key workflows, and stay up to date without leaving the application.

To customize the learning videos banner:

1. Go to Admin Admin > System Administration > System Administration Controls > Configure System Settings.
2. Scroll down to Corporate Settings.
3. On the General Settings tab, click Manage Educational Videos.
4. Click New to and complete the following columns for the video:
   1. Order: Enter a number that represents the order in which the video appears in the banner. Videos with lower numbers appear first.
   2. Video URL: Enter the URL that links to the hosted training video. The video must be accessible to users through the provided link.
   3. Thumbnail URL: Enter the URL that links to the thumbnail image for the video.
   4. Title: Enter the name of the educational video as it will appear to users in the Learning Videos section so they can quickly identify the purpose or topic of the video.
      If the title does not fit the screen, it will show as a tooltip.
      Deltek video URLs, thumbnail URLs, and titles can not be modified and are read-only.
   5. Description: Enter a brief description of the video content. This description provides users with additional context about what the video covers before they open it.
   6. Enable: Select this checkbox to make the video available to users. Clear the checkbox to hide the video without deleting it.
   7. Restricted: This checkbox indicates whether the video has restrictions for specific users or user groups. Restrictions are defined in the Restrict to Specific Users /User Groups subtask
5. To tailor learning content for users and user groups, click the Restrict to Specific Users / User Groups subtask.
6. Enter, or click to select, the user or user groups that are permitted to view the video.
7. Select the company of the user or user group who will see the video on the Welcome Screen.
8. Save your settings.
