Use the fields and options to configure the Approve Life Events Screen.

Field Description
Employee

This field displays the employee ID.

Employee Name

This field displays the employee's name.

Life Event

This field displays the life event code for this employee.

Life Event Description

This field displays the life event code's description.

Life Event Date

This field displays the date of the life event. If a Life Event has been specified, the Change Period End Date column displays the Life Event Date plus the Change Period Days.

Approved

Select this check box to approve the life event for the employee.

Type

This field displays the classification type that applies to the life event:

  • W: Work Event
  • P: Personal Event
Change Period Days

This field displays the number of days after a life event date that the employee is eligible to select/change benefit elections. It is also the number of days that the employee is eligible to make changes and/or selections in the life event's user flow in ESS.

Change Period End Date

This field displays the ending date of the change period for the life event. This is the last day on which the employee can make benefit selections/changes in Costpoint, and the last day that the employee can make life event user flow selections/changes in ESS.

Benefit Qualifying Event

If this check box is selected, the life event qualifies an employee for benefit enrollment or benefit changes.

Benefit Package

Enter, or click to select, the benefit package for the employee.

Approve All

Click this button to approve all employee life events in the table window. The Approved check box is selected for each row when you click this button.

Activate Approved Life Events

Click this button to activate approved employee life events.
