Performing the Review Process
You must use multiple Costpoint screens to complete the employee review process.
Step | Description |
---|---|
1 | On the Manage Performance Review Forms screen, design a customized version of a review form or forms. The review form is divided into five sections, each of which you can include or exclude, depending on your company's requirements. Use this screen to set up review forms as part of your system initialization. You must set up review forms before you can assign a review code to an employee on the Manage Employee Salary Information screen. The following are suggestions for each section of the review form:
|
2 | Review Form Assignment group box on the Configure Compensation Settings screen. If you do not use this screen, you must enter a Review Form code on the HR Info tab of the Manage Employee Salary Information screen to obtain a printout of the review form for an employee. You are not required to fill out this screen. Fill out this screen only if you want the review form ID to default onto the Manage Employee Salary Information screen. |
3 | On the Manage Managers/HR Reps by Organization screen, identify the First Level Manager, Second Level Manager, and Human Resources Representative for the organization. The First Level Manager ID defined in this table defaults onto the Manage Employee Salary Information screen based on the organization to which each employee is assigned. If you have the same First Level Manager for all levels of an organization, you need to enter only the top-level organization in this screen. |
4 | From the Print Performance Review Schedule screen, print information for employees who are scheduled for a performance review. Based on the
Next review date on the HR Data tab of the Manage Employee Information screen, the report prints for a range of periods extending from 30 to 90 days and shows any reviews that are past due.
OR From the Print/Send Performance Review Schedule by Manager screen, print performance review schedules and send review schedules to managers, if you are using the email capability provided. Managers use this same application to send this information back to the Human Resources department. If you are not using the email capability, print this report from the Print Performance Review Schedule screen instead. |
5 | From the Print Review Form Template screen, print review form templates by manager or employee ID. This application is available after you establish review forms and enter the Next review date for active employees on the HR Data tab of the Manage Employee Information screen. |
6 | From the Print Completed Review Forms screen, print completed review forms for a specified period of time. You can run this program after you complete review forms for employees. |
7 | On the Manage Employee Review screen, enter an online record of the review forms sent to managers or received by Human Resources. Managers can enter review information here, if the e-mail feature is being used; otherwise, the Human Resources Department can enter this data. Additionally, if you are using a weighted-average method for calculating a rating, you can click the Calculate button on the Section II-Employee Evaluation subtask to have Costpoint generate the rating for you. |
8 | On the Update Employee Salary Based on Review screen, process the results from a performance review directly to the Manage Employee Salary Information screen for an employee. This screen is available only if you are using the system's review forms. |
9 | From the Print Review Rating Statistics Report by Manager screen, print an analysis by manager of how managers rate employees. This report is useful if you want to view how individual managers rate their employees. Run this report any time after completed review forms are stored in the database. |
10 | From the Print Performance Review Statistics screen, print an analysis by employee for a given manager. Statistics show employee ratings from Section V of the review forms. This aids in tracking a specific manager's performance as rated by employees. Run this report any time after completed review forms have been stored in the database. |
