  • Phrase:Returns all topics that contain the exact phrase in the search criteria. Use quotation marks around the phrase.
    Ex."system administration"
  • And:Returns all topics that contain all the words in the search criteria, in any combination. Insert a plus sign between all words in the search criteria.
    Ex.system + administration
  • Or:Returns all topics with any combination of words in the search criteria. This is the default.

Contents of the Federal W-4 Screen

Use the fields and options to configure the Federal W-4 Screen.

Federal W-4

Select the checkboxes below if you live in a U.S. Territory, such as the U.S. Virgin Islands, or if you are a nonresident alien.

Field Description
US Territory W-4
This checkbox is an indicator if the Home Withholding State is a US Territory where its income tax system mirrors the federal income tax system. If this is selected, the following fields will be enabled for use in the calculation of the territories' withholding tax, while the rest of the fields will be disabled.
  • Number of other dependents
  • Other Tax Credit Amount
  • Other income (not from jobs
  • Deductions
  • Extra Withholding

This field is not editable.

Currently, this box is selected if the state is Guam or Virgin Islands.

Nonresident Alien Select this checkbox if you are a nonresident alien.
