Manage European Union Commodity Codes

Use this screen to establish and maintain commodity codes. Commodity codes are an agreed-upon method of identification when transporting goods and materials between countries.

Although some countries may have longer and more detailed codes, all countries have agreed to these codes. (Some countries may use extra digits at the end of the code to make the commodity code more detailed, but each code's base will be the same for the generic goods.) Review the requirements for the countries with which you do business.

These codes are used for lookup on the Customs Info subtasks of the Manage Customer Product Bills, Manage Manual Bills, and Manage Project Product Bills screens.
