Using the Help Search
  • Phrase:Returns all topics that contain the exact phrase in the search criteria. Use quotation marks around the phrase.
    Ex."system administration"
  • And:Returns all topics that contain all the words in the search criteria, in any combination. Insert a plus sign between all words in the search criteria.
    Ex.system + administration
  • Or:Returns all topics with any combination of words in the search criteria. This is the default.

Group Advanced Search Results (Desktop)

After you run an advanced search of a previewed report, you can change how the results of the search are grouped.

This topic describes Reporting options and procedures for the Vantagepoint desktop application. If you use the Vantagepoint browser application, see the topics under Reporting.

To change the grouping for advanced search results:

  1. Preview the report, click on the Preview window toolbar to open the search pane at the bottom of the Preview window, and run the advanced search.
  2. Click Search Results at the top of the grid on the Results tab.
  3. Click Enable Grouping on the menu.
  4. Use the mouse to drag columns to the area above the grid to establish the group levels that you want.
