Review a Contract Item

Some contract types require approval before they can be assigned to nominated recipients. If your role permits you to approve contract items, any items that require your approval display in your CM Notifications Dashpart. You may also receive an email notification. You choose to either approve or reject items.

To review a contract item:

  1. Navigate to the Personal Zone
  2. On the CM Notifications Dashpart, click to expand the CM Item For Approval section.
    If the CM Notifications Dashpart is not displayed, click to add it.
  3. Click for the item that you want to action.
  4. On the landing page for the item, click Review.
  5. On the Contract Management Approval form, do one of the following:
    • To approve the item, click Approve. In the Approval Comments field at the top of the window, enter some notes to support the approval, and then click Confirm Approve.
    • To reject the item, click Reject. In the Reject Reason field at the top of the window, enter the reason for rejecting the item, and then click Confirm Reject.
    If the contract type is configured to notify users, all recipients linked to the item receive an email to notify them about the decision.
