Set Up a Resource Folder

Use the Storage and Folders submodule to set up resource folders. Once set up, the resource folder can be used to store documents relate to clients, vendors, and other resource types.

To use the Storage and Folders submodule, you must have access to Settings as defined in the Employee cross-company access submodule under Settings.

Before you can set up a resource folder, you must first set up and configure a storage provider. For instructions, see Set Up a Storage Provider.

To set up a resource folder:

  1. On the main toolbar, click Settings .
  2. If you have more than one company in your system, use the drop-down list above the left pane of the Settings screen to select the company for which you want to set up a resource folder.
  3. In the left navigation pane of the Settings screen, click Folders, Reports & Documents > Storage and Folders.
  4. Click the Resource folder setup tab.
  5. On the grid toolbar, click Add entry .
    WorkBook displays the resource folder in the grid.
  6. Double-click the specific cell to specify or select values for the following:
    • Resource type
    • Folder path
    • Storage provider
    • Subfolder structure path
    • Display folder path
