Using the Help Search
  • Phrase:Returns all topics that contain the exact phrase in the search criteria. Use quotation marks around the phrase.
    Ex."system administration"
  • And:Returns all topics that contain all the words in the search criteria, in any combination. Insert a plus sign between all words in the search criteria.
    Ex.system + administration
  • Or:Returns all topics with any combination of words in the search criteria. This is the default.

Contents of the Add Dashpart Dialog Box

Use the following fields and options to create a dashpart.

Field Description
Dashpart Title Enter the name of the dashpart that you want to create.
Dashpart Base Select the base to use as a reference for the dashpart that you want to create. Once you select the base, you cannot change it. Possible options are:
  • Project
  • Account Detail
  • Account
  • Employee
  • Favorite Report
  • Firm
  • Vantagepoint Intelligence
  • Web URL Link
Note: The Vantagepoint Intelligence module is required to display the Vantagepoint Intelligence dashpart base. Starting with Vantagepoint 7.0, the Vantagepoint Intelligence module is no longer available for new deployments of Vantagepoint. Existing users of Vantagepoint Intelligence can continue using it when they upgrade to newer versions of Vantagepoint.
Dashpart Type Select one of the following options to create the corresponding dashpart type:
  • Table
  • Chart
  • KPI

You can switch between dashpart types. When you change the type, the Dashpart Designer updates the dashpart based on the type, and some customization may be lost. To preserve the customization for a dashpart, create a copy of that dashpart and change the dashpart type in the copy, so that you do not affect the dashpart type or any customization specified in the original dashpart.

Whether or not this field is displayed depends on the dashpart base type that you select.

URL Enter the URL of the website that you want to display in the dashpart. This field displays when you set the Dashpart Base field to Web URL Link.
Text Color

Use this field to select the color for the displayed text in the dashpart title bar. Click this field to display a color picker menu that you use to select a color. You can also enter the hexadecimal color code in the field instead of using the color picker menu.

Background

Use this field to select the background color of the dashpart title bar. Click this field to display a color picker menu that you use to select a color. You can also enter the hexadecimal color code in the field instead of using the color picker menu.

This field displays when you set the Dashpart Base field to Web URL Link.

Test When you click this option to check that the web URL is valid, a preview area is displayed below the Test option so that you can preview the web URL. This option displays when you set the Dashpart Base field to Web URL Link and is enabled when you enter a value in the URL field.
