My Activities System Dashpart

Use the My Activities system dashpart to see your projects's activity dates and contacts at a glance. You can also add new activities from the Dashboard through the My Activities system dashpart.

My Activities displays the pending and completed activities assigned to you in descending order, beginning with the most current activity at the top and followed by those further in the future below. All milestones are excluded from the My Activities list. To view milestone activities, use the Upcoming Milestone system dashpart.

Field Description
+New Activity This option is available if you have access rights to add new activities. Click +New Activity to display the Activities dialog box and use it to create an activity by filling in or modifying the fields and options.
Search Filter List Use this drop-down to filter your activities with the following options:
  • Today : This is the default option. Select this option to show today's activities.
  • Next 30 Days: Select this option to show all activities from today to 30 days in the future.
  • Previous 30 Days: Select this option to show all activities from yesterday to 30 days in the past.
  • All: Select this option to display all your activities in descending order beginning with the oldest past activity.
Show Completed Select this checkbox to show your list of completed activities. When you select Show Completed, the activity list refreshes and displays all the activities based on the time frame you selected. To hide completed activities, clear the Show Completed checkbox.

The display order of activities in the grid is based on the assigned activity type. Your administrator defines activity types in Settings > Labels and Lists > Lists. All activities assigned as tasks (such as an SOQ activity) or that span multiple days are listed at the top of the grid, and a dividing line separates these from all other activities. Typically, these task activities show no date unless a task has a reminder. In addition, activities that span multiple days are displayed separately for each day of the time span, and these appear with no start time at the top of the list.

Date This column displays the activity date, type, and activity time, if available. If the activity is a recurring activity, the column displays "Recurring" and the activity type instead of the activity date, type, and time.

To display additional information about the activity, click the activity. An info bubble appears containing the activity information: activity name, title, phone numbers, and email address of the employees or contacts associated with the activity. For recurring activities, the information displayed in the info bubble is based on the earliest upcoming occurrence of the recurring activity.

The info bubble also contains two options:
  • : Select this option found beside the activity type to mark the activity as complete. When you select this option, the notification appears at the top of the form indicating that the activity was marked complete. An Open link is also displayed in the notification that can be clicked to view the full activity in the Activity form of Hubs > Activities.
  • More...: Select this option to display the Activities dialog box where you can view the complete information of the activity.
Contact (Project) This column displays the name of the contact for the activity if the activity is linked to a project. Click the contact name to display an info bubble containing contact information: job title, location, phone numbers, and email address. Click More... in the info bubble to display the full contact record on a separate browser tab.
Notes This text field displays notes and comments for the activity. displays in the column for line items without an existing note. Once a note is added to a line item, the button changes to . Click or to display the Notes dialog box where you can add or modify comments and format text.
Completed Select this checkbox to remove an activity from the list as you complete an activity. The completed activity appears with a strikethrough and, after a delay, is removed from your list. A notification displays at the top of the form indicating that the activity was marked complete. An Open link is also displayed in the notification that can be clicked to view the full activity in the Activity form of Hubs > Activities.
This option displays at the right end when you hover the cursor on a line item.
Click to display a menu with the following options:
  • Edit: Select this option to display the Activities dialog box where you can edit the activity information.
  • Copy: Select this option to display the Activities dialog box where all the activity information is copied to create a new activity.
  • Delete: Select this option to delete the activity.
