Set the Preferred Application View

You can specify your preferred view when opening the Vantagepoint application.

To set the application view:

  1. On the toolbar, click and select My Preferences.
  2. On the My Preferences dialog box, click the General tab.
  3. In the Preferred Application View list, select the type of view:
    • Always Open in Detail View: Select this option to always open application in the Detail view. This is the default view that displays when you open a hub application. All fields for a single hub record are displayed on the hub form. The detail view is the format that is described in most Hub and application form help topics in the Help system. Use Detail View to view and edit the contents of a single record.
    • Always Open in List View: Select this option to always open application in the List view. In this view, fields for hub records are displayed in columns in a grid rather than on separate tabs. In the grid, you can display and edit data for multiple hub records at one time. You can add, remove, or change the order of the columns in the grid by clicking at the top right of the grid.
    • Always Open in View Last Used: Select this option to always open the last selected view.

  4. Click Save.
