Using the Help Search
  • Phrase:Returns all topics that contain the exact phrase in the search criteria. Use quotation marks around the phrase.
    Ex."system administration"
  • And:Returns all topics that contain all the words in the search criteria, in any combination. Insert a plus sign between all words in the search criteria.
    Ex.system + administration
  • Or:Returns all topics with any combination of words in the search criteria. This is the default.

Contents of the Folder Options Dialog Box

You create folder directories one at a time, but you can create multiple folder directories and then save several searches in each directory.

Field Description
Name of Folder Enter the name of the folder directory. After you save the folder directory, it displays in the following areas:
  • Searches List: This is the list that appears on the main form of a hub or application. Each folder directory appears in bold. Click to display the searches for a directory.
  • Add This Search To: The list of folder directories appears in this field on the Save Options dialog box.
