Enter Information About Your Competition for a New Project

You can add and review information about firms that are competing with you for a new project that you are pursuing.

To enter information about a competitor for a project:

  1. In the Navigation pane, select Hubs > Projects > Project.
  2. Select the project for which you want to enter competitor information.
  3. Click the Competition tab.
  4. Click + Add Competition below the grid.
  5. In Name, select the competing firm.

    If the competitor has not yet been added as a firm in Vantagepoint, click + New Firm at the bottom of the drop-down list and use the Firms dialog box to add it.

  6. In the Strengths and Weaknesses fields, enter a description of the competitor's strong points and also areas in which the firm is weak.

    Click in this field to display the Strengths dialog box or Weaknesses dialog box where you can see and make changes to the full text.

  7. Click the Incumbent check box if the competitor is an incumbent for the contract.

    Incumbents are displayed in bold text in the Competition grid.

  8. In Notes, enter text that provides any additional information that you want to capture about the firm.

    Click in this field to display the Notes dialog box where you can see and make changes to the full text.
