When you create a change request, PM Compass creates a temporary project called a sandbox. The sandbox maintains all of the changed data until such time as the project is approved. After approval, PM Compass updates the live project using the data in the sandbox. After the approved change is applied to the live project, PM Compass removes the temporary data from the sandbox.
The sandbox is created when, for example, you save in the Change Details view, export from the workflow form, or load changes in Model Changes.
When the sandbox is created, if the status date on the workflow form is after the status date on the sandbox project, PM Compass advances the calendar on the sandbox until the status dates match. After the sandbox is created, changing the Planned Effective Date on the workflow form does not change the sandbox.
