If the Workflow Type Configuration option is set to Model Change as: A Replacement of Existing Time Phased data, the Cobra reclass deletes the exiting source data before adding the data in the change request. The change class replaces the existing budget or forecast. The change class will be changed to the class indicated in the option When Workflow is Complete, Move to Class. If that class indicates it is Included in Totals and is a budget class, the Cobra Project Audit Log will be updated with the change amount.
If the Workflow Type Configuration option is set to Model Change as: A New or Change amount, the Cobra reclass is an additive process. The change class is added to the existing budget.
With this option, you can choose to:
Add the change to an existing class such as the budget. The final result will be that the budget is increased by the amount in the change request.
Add the change class as a new, approved class. This option adds a new class to the source project. It has the same name as the system generated change number and has Include in Totals selected. This option indicates the change is tracked by the Project Audit Log which tracks changes to the budget. You can choose to add the change class to a cost such as BCWS so that it automatically appears in your next report. If you have IPMR Format 3 requirements, you must select this option.
Both of these Workflow Type Configuration options have a setting to select what happens when workflow is complete.
