This procedure allows you to select which system to update and post progress information. It determines if Enter Progress has the assignee entering progress into a schedule system (activities) or a cost system (work packages).
If the source system is a schedule other than Open Plan, import the schedule.
If the source system to update is the schedule, link the schedule to the project.
To select the source system to update:
On the Navigation menu, click Projects ยป Projects.
In the Projects List View grid, select the project that you want to modify, or use the Search functionality to retrieve the project(s) that you want to update.
Switch from List View to Form View. You can do this by taking one of the following actions:
In the Project grid, double-click the margin square to the left of the selected project.
On the form toolbar, click Form View.
Click the Progress tab.
In the Source System to Update group box, select the appropriate system.
Enter the other necessary details on the Progress tab.
On the form toolbar, click Save.
