Define Access Rights to a Project

Use this procedure to define access rights that groups or individual users have to a Deltek PM Compass project. It allows you to set security in PM Compass for all securable entities using the Access Control grid.

You can only define or update access rights to an entity if you are the owner or you are a member of the System Administrator group. The owner also has the rights to the Access Control tab.

To define access rights that groups or individual users have to the project:

1. On the Navigation menu, click Projects » Projects.  

2. In the Projects List View grid, select the project that you want to modify, or use the Search functionality to retrieve the project(s) that you want to update.

3. Switch from List View to Form View. You can do this by taking one of the following actions:

   Not all users can access the Projects Form View. Access to this and other screens is controlled in EPM Security Administrator.

   • In the Project grid, double-click the margin square to the left of the selected project.

   • On the form toolbar, click Form View.

4. On the Access Control tab, enter or select the necessary information.

5. Click Save.
