Schedule the Creation of Explanation of Variances
You can configure PM Compass to create scheduled Explanation of Variances
automatically. This feature is useful when your organization has a recurring
requirement to explain variances from period to period.
Before you schedule the automatic creation of Explanation of Variances,
ensure that you have set
up the project for Explain Variance.
To schedule the creation of Explanation of Variances:
On the Navigation menu,
click Administration ยป Workflow Type
Configuration.
On the Workflow
Type Configuration form, click 
in the Search field.
On the Workflow
Type Search dialog box, select the Explanation of Variance and
click the Select button.
On the Scheduling
Tab, click the Schedule
button to display the Schedule dialog
box.
Use the Main tab
to specify the general settings for the schedule, including the
queue, the start time, and the process settings.
Use the Recurring
tab to set up a recurring alert, including a recurrence type and
pattern.
Click OK
to close the Schedule dialog box.
Click Save
on the toolbar.
Explanation of Variances are only created when a variance has exceeded
a threshold.
