This section describes the workflow steps for a project risk workflow.
For more information, see Risk Overview.
When the assignee (Risk Owner) views the Project Risk record, the Complete and Reject options become available. The Suspend and Cancel options can also become available if the user has the permissions.
The Reject option allows the assignee to return the Project Risk to the originator if it is incorrectly assigned to them.
If an assignee or the originator suspends the Project Risk, it is in suspend mode. PM Compass prompts for a comment and saves a history record. The Resume button becomes available. The Project Risk remains in the suspended state until one of the assignees clicks this button. The workflow then continues.
If an assignee or the originator cancels the Project Risk, PM Compass sets it as closed and updates the closed date to today’s date. PM Compass prompts for a comment, saves a history record, and modifies the Modified By and Modified Date fields.
The Risk Owner receives a notification after the workflow starts.
If the Risk Owner does not complete the Project Risk before the due date, the system sends a reminder notification via an email and a dashboard alert.
If the Risk Owner rejects the Project Risk, the originator receives notification via an email and a dashboard alert.
When today’s date is greater than the due date, the assignee receives a past due notification via an email and a dashboard alert.
