Use this scheduled alert to Calculate Progress (earned value) for all projects. It is included with the default PM Compass database and can be scheduled to run on demand, or scheduled as a reoccurring procedure to run, for example, every night.

This alert is configured to run for all projects. The steps below describe how you can edit the conditions to run the alert for one or more specific projects.
The default alert runs for every project. If you want to run the alert for one or more specific projects, you need to edit the conditions.
To run the alert for one or more specific projects:
Navigate to Administration » Alerts » Scheduled Alerts.
Set Area to Projects.
In the Alerts grid, select the row for Calculate Progress.
Click in the Conditions column to display the Conditions dialog box.
On the Conditions dialog box, edit the Project.Project row as follows:
In the Operator column, select Equals.
In the Value column, enter the name of the project.
If you only want to run the alert for one project, click OK. To add additional projects, continue with the next step.
To add another project, click Insert and complete the following steps:
In the new line, in the Column column, select Project.Project.
In the Operator column, select Equals.
In the Value column, enter the name of the project.
In the And/Or column, enter Or.
Repeat steps a through d for each project you wish to add.
Click OK to close the Conditions dialog box.
Another way to set the conditions to run the alert for specific projects is to use a project-level code or a custom field on the project. In this case, you should edit the conditions as follows:
On the Conditions dialog box, in the Column column, select the project-level code or custom field.
In the Operator column, select Equals.
In the Value column, enter the value that is in the project-level code or custom field.
Click OK to close the Conditions dialog box.
On the Scheduled Alerts toolbar, click Save.
