Application Toolbar

This toolbar is located at the top of the PM Compass window and includes the following system-wide menu options:

Menu Option

Description

Hide / Show Navigation

These buttons hide or show the Navigation menu.

Back

This arrow moves you back to the feature or form on which you were previously working.

Forward

This arrow returns you to the feature or form you were working on before you clicked the Back arrow.

Kona

This opens the Deltek Kona application.

  • If Internet Explorer is enabled in the registry, Kona will be launched within PM Compass.

  • If Internet Explorer is not enabled in the registry, Kona will be launched in a separate window.

This button is hidden by default. For steps on how to unhide it, see Hide/Unhide the Kona Button.

Settings

This allows you to access the User Preferences and the Navigation Menu Designer features.

Help

This menu contains the following options:

  • Contents — This connects you to the PM Compass Help system. The Help system displays in a browser window. Other help buttons, found in a feature or on a form, are intended for the specific feature you are working on. For more information see Form and Dialog-level Help.

  • Internal Help Desk — This option allows you to email the help desk. The email includes applicable server and database information.

  • Customer Care Connect — This option opens the Customer Care Connect Client Login page in a browser window.

  • Knowledge Base — This option opens the Customer Care Connect Client Login page in a browser window.

  • Contact Us — This option opens a Deltek Customer Care Contact page in a browser window.

  • About — This option displays a window with technical information about the product such as the application and database version, name of the server, and so on.

Log Off

Click  to log out of PM Compass and display the Login dialog box.
