Set Up Lead Rating Types

Use the Manage Lead Rating Types screen to set up lead rating types. User- and system-defined lead rating types that exist on this screen can be used in lead/contact records in Manage Leads and Contacts.

To set up lead rating types:

  1. Click Capture & Contracts > Contract Management Controls > Contract Management Controls > Manage Lead Rating Types.
    The table window displays three system-defined lead rating types.
  2. In the Show in Lookup column, keep the check box selected for the corresponding lead rating type that you would like to be available in the lookup of the Rating field in Manage Leads and Contacts. Only rating types with this check box selected will be available for selection in new records in Manage Leads and Contacts.
  3. Optional: To add new lead rating types, complete these steps:
    1. Click on the application toolbar.
    2. Complete these fields:
      Field Description
      Lead Rating Type Code Enter a code to uniquely identify this lead rating type.
      Lead Rating Type Description Enter a description for the new lead rating type.
      Show in Lookup Keep this check box selected to display the lead rating type code in the lookup of the Rating field on the Manage Leads and Contacts screen.
