Screen Fields
Field | Description |
---|---|
Time Zone |
Click to select the time zone in which you reside. The list contains all of the time zones currently in use around the world. When you enter timesheets or expense reports, the system will compare the time zone to the server’s time zone to determine whether or not you are allowed charge time against the charges you have selected. |
Default Application |
Click to select the application ID for the application that will automatically display when you log onto Time and Expense. After you enter an application ID, the name of the application automatically displays in the field to the right of the Default Application field. |
Load Favorites to New Timesheet |
To load charge favorites automatically to your timesheet, select this checkbox. |
Auto-Download of ICS Files |
This checkbox only displays if your administrator has configured Time & Expense to allow auto-download of ICalendar (.ics) files. Select this checkbox to allow iCalendar (.ics) files to auto-download to your local machine. This enables you to add leave events that you have scheduled (using the Timesheet and Work Schedule applications) to your Outlook calendar. If you are a supervisor, leave requests that you approve will also be available to you in Outlook. The files automatically download to the location that is configured to receive downloads on your machine. After you open an .ics file, it displays in Outlook and is pre-populated with the leave details that were entered in the New Leave dialog box in Time & Expense. Click Send Update on the .ics file in Outlook to add it to your calendar. |
Delegation
Deltek Workforce enables employees to assign their tasks to another individual or individuals when they are unable to perform those tasks themselves. They can narrow down the list of who does which task by Employee Group and then by individual person. For example, if a supervisor is going on vacation for a week, he can delegate his timesheet approvals to one person and his expense report and expense authorization approvals to another.
If you are authorized to do so, use the Delegation area to select individuals who can perform tasks on your behalf.
Field | Description |

Delegating Role | Click to select the functional role that you want delegated. The Lookup displays all of the functional roles where you are listed as a "Supervisor" in the Employee Groups screen and that have the Allow Delegation check box selected in the Functional Roles screen. |
Group | Click
to select the Group that will be delegated. The Lookup displays all of the employee groups where you have the functional role selected in the
Delegating Role column.
For example, you have a functional role of "Primary Supervisor" over the following employee groups: "Group ABC" and "Group XYZ." You have a functional role of "Backup Supervisor" over the following employee groups: "Group 123" and "Group 456." If you select "Primary Supervisor" in the Delegating Role column, the groups listed will be "Group ABC" and "Group XYZ," but NOT "Group 123" and "Group 456." |

This check box is used when this feature is set up for an extended period (for example from Jan 1 through Dec 31) and the user would like the option of turning it on or off without having to re-configure it each time. |
