Contents of the Manage System Benefit Types Screen

Use the fields and options to configure the Manage System Benefit Types screen.

Field Description
System Benefit Type Code This field displays the code used by Costpoint for the system benefit type.
Description Enter a description for the system benefit type. This description will be used in Employee Self Service and throughout the Benefits module.

This field will only be enabled if the System Benefit Type Code is OTHER2 - OTHER9.

Dependents Allowed

Select this checkbox to enable dependent setup functionality on the following screens:

  • Manage Benefit Plans
  • Benefits Enrollment
  • Life Events/New Hires

This checkbox will only be enabled if the System Benefit Type Code is OTHER2 - OTHER9, and ACCDNT.

Beneficiaries Required
Select this checkbox to enable beneficiary setup functionality on the following screens:
  • Manage Benefit Plans
  • Benefits Enrollment
  • Life Events/New Hires

This checkbox will only be enabled if the System Benefit Type Code is OTHER2 - OTHER9, ACCDNT, and TRAVEL.

Order Number This field displays the order number to display the benefit type on the Benefits Enrollment screen in ESS.
