Creating a project in CRM from Ajera

You can start a project in Ajera and select to create that project in CRM through the sync process. This allows you to create a Vantagepoint CRM project from Ajera for those projects that do not start as an opportunity. Once the project is created in CRM, it is added to the mapping table and updates are synced during the normal process. During the next sync, the project will be created in CRM and you will see an entry on the Integration Log with the method Vantagepoint Add Project.

When creating a project in CRM from Ajera, the integration will assign a project number using the project ID assigned to the project in Ajera. If the Ajera project does not have a project ID and CRM is using auto-numbering for projects, the next available number will be used as the project ID. If CRM does not use auto-numbering and the project ID does not exist in Ajera, the project will not be created in CRM and the Integration log will have a detailed error message.

To create a project in CRM from Ajera

  1. From the > Manage menu, click Project Command Center.
  2. For new projects, enter the required project information.
  3. For existing projects, select the project you want to create in CRM.
  4. On the General tab, select the Create in CRM check box.
Note:

The following are required fields in CRM and need to be on the Ajera Project: Project ID and Description.

  1. Click Save.

During the next sync, the project will be created in CRM.
