Setting up an API User
To set up an API
- From > Setup menu, select Utility > Setup Integrations.
- On the API User tab,
- Click New to create a new user.
- To edit an existing user, click on the user.
- Enter a username.
Note: | The API user name needs to be different from the employee user name. |
- Enter a password.
Note: |
The password must meet Ajera's password requirements. The API password needs to be different from the employee password. |
- Select an authorizing employee.
- Check Can Read if the user should be able to read the information output in the API.
Note: | Checking Can Read checks all of the fields the user would be able to read. To grant access to only certain parts of the data, deselect the boxes. |
- Check Can Write if the user should be able to write information back to Ajera using the information displayed in the API.

- Click to save.
