Changing an organizational level
unavailable in ajeraCore unless you have the Departments add-on
You can change an organizational level by:
Company and Department are always the highest and lowest levels. You cannot change them, add levels above or below them, or delete them.
Changing the name of an organizational level
You can change an organizational level’s name by simply entering a new name for it. Ajera automatically updates any reporting entities associated with that level to use the new name.
- From the > Setup menu, click Company > Financials > Organizational Levels.
- Click the organizational level you want to change, select the name, and enter a new name.
- Click Save.
Adding an organizational level
You can add an organizational level by entering its name at the level you want and adjusting the other levels accordingly.
- From the > Setup menu, click Company > Financials > Organizational Levels.
- Click the field where you want to add an organizational level, select the name, and enter a new name to replace the name of the level.
- Press the Tab key, and enter the name of the next organizational level down in your firm. Repeat as needed.
Note: | You do not need to enter Department; Ajera automatically adds it at the lowest level. |
- Click Save.
- Review your reporting entity information and ensure that the correct organizational level is selected for each entity.
Deleting an organizational level
You can delete an organizational level by simply deleting its name and adjusting the other levels accordingly.
- From the > Setup menu, click Company > Financials > Organizational Levels.
- Click the organizational level you want to delete, select the name, and press the Delete key, which deletes the current level and all levels below it except Department.
- Re-enter the names of any levels, as needed.
- Click Save.
- Review your reporting entity information and make sure that the correct organizational level is selected for each entity.
