Associate an Expense Justification Template with an Activity

You can associate an expense justification template with an activity at the Global level or the Company level.

You must be a System Administrator or an Advanced User with access to Settings to perform these procedures.

To associate an expense justification template with an activity:

  1. To associate a template with an activity at the Global level:
    1. Navigate to Settings > Price Lists & Activities > Activities > Global Activity Settings tab.
    2. Locate the activity that you want to associate with a template in the list of activity names in the Activity Name column.
    3. In the Expense Justification Template column for that activity, select a template name from the drop-down list.
      That template is used for expenses that are associated with a given activity for any expense entries that have a job type, and for which expense justifications are required. Note: For an activity to appear in this drop-down list so that you can select it, the activity's Allow Personal Expense check box (at Settings > Price Lists & Activities > Activities) must be selected.
  2. To associate a template with an activity at the Company level:
    1. Navigate to Settings > Price Lists & Activities > Activities > Company Activity Settings tab.
    2. Locate the Company that you want to associate with a template in the list of Company names in the Company column.
    3. In the Expense Justification Template column, select a template name from the drop-down list.
      That template is used for expenses that are associated with a given activity for that Company.
