Compensation and Percent Billed Dialog Box

Use the Compensation and Percent Billed dialog box to monitor projects whose compensation is a fee. The data on this dialog box displays the percent of the fee that was billed before. The fee was billed either through the Vision Billing or through an invoice in the Transaction Entry.

Use the percent of a project fee that was billed before to help you decide what amount to enter for the percent complete in the Update Overall Percent Completes dialog box.

Location

To open this dialog box, complete the following steps:

  1. From the Vision Navigation menu, click either of the following:

    • Accounting > Revenue > Revenue Generation

    • Accounting > Consultant Accruals

  2. On the toolbar, click on the Update % button and select either Show Budget At Cost or Show Budget At Billing.
  3. On the Update Overall Percent Completes dialog box, select the project whose data you want to view in the dialog box.
  4. Click the View Detail option on the grid toolbar.

Field Description
Project This field shows the project's number and name.
Phase This field shows the project's phase number and name.
Task This field shows the project phase's task number and name.
Include Consultant Fee in Compensation

Select this check box to use the project's consultant fee in the calculation of the Compensation and Percent Billed amounts in this dialog box.

This action has no effect on the project's compensation in either the project's info center record or on the Update Overall Percent Completes dialog box.

JTD Fee Billed

This field shows the amount of the project's fee that was billed before. The fee was billed either through the Billing part of Vision, or through an invoice in the Transaction Entry part of Vision.

This amount must match the amount of the fee that is shown as billed job-to-date in the project's Office Earnings Report.

Compensation

This field shows the amount used in the calculation of Percent Billed for this dialog box:

  • This amount is the selected project's Compensation, from the project info center record.

  • If the Include Consultant Fee in Compensation check box is selected, this amount includes the project's consultant fee.

Percent Billed This field shows the calculation (Billed Compensation/Total Compensation).
