Pause Automatic Updates

As you interact with a performance dashboard, it may have to send a query to the data source to update the data on the dashboard. If you are working with a dense dashboard with a lot of data or a very large data source, the automatic update may take a long time. If this occurs and you want to avoid waiting for each update while you make several changes to filter values, for example, use the Pause Automatic Updates icon ( ) to pause the automatic updates until you are finished making changes.

To pause automatic updates for a dashboard, complete the following steps:

1. Click at the bottom of the dashboard.
2. Select all filter values that you want to apply.
3. Click the Resume Automatic Updates icon () at the bottom of the dashboard.

   Result: The dashboard is updated based on the current filters.
