Copy a Project Budget
When you copy budget information into a project, that project’s existing budget (if any) is overwritten. You can never return to the original budget.
You cannot copy the budget from a project with a
regular charge type to an overhead or promotional project, or vice versa.
Before you proceed, check the project's existing budget to be sure that you want to override it.
To copy a budget from one project to another project, complete the following steps:
- From the Vision Navigation menu, click Accounting > Budgeting > Project Budgeting.
- On the Project Budget Worksheet form, select a project. This is the project to which you want to copy budget data. Vision displays previously entered budget information for the project.
- On the toolbar, click Copy.
- On the Copy Budgets From dialog box, click beside the Project field and select a project. This is the project from which you are want to copy budget data.
- Optional. Select a phase and task to narrow the amount of budget data copied.
-
Optional. Select the
Copy budget hours and amounts option to include hours and amounts in the data copied.

Copy budget amounts.
