API

Expose the PUT Post Timesheet Entry API Endpoint

To enable timesheet posting for a single employee, or timesheets for several employees, the PUT Post Timesheet Entry API endpoint is now available. This new API endpoint honors existing validations and restrictions as well as security requirements at the application level.


FEC File Generation

FEC Data File Now Displays the Opening Balances Before the Accounting Entries

When you generate an FEC Data File in Accounting » FEC File Generation, the output file now displays the opening balances before the accounting entries. 


Mobile

Upgrade Touch Server to PHP 8.2.7

The Touch Server for this version of the Vantagepoint mobile application has been upgraded to support the PHP 8.2.7 security release.


Software Issues Resolved


Billing

Defect 1966883: This issue applies if you use a billing invoice template in Settings » Billing » Invoice Template Editor and, on the Layout tab of the Invoice Template Editor form, you set the Unit of Measure field to Millimeter. When you included the Previous Fee Billing and Current Billing columns in the template, these columns were too wide on invoices. When you previewed invoices, you had to scroll to the right to see the columns. When you printed invoices, the columns wrapped and were printed on additional pages of the invoice. This occurred in any Vantagepoint application in which you can view and print invoices.


Billing >> Interactive Billing

Defect 1876132: If you entered brackets "{" or "}" in a text field and then printed an invoice, you received this error message: "ParameterizedQueryBuilder parameter count mismatch." (This issue also occurred for text fields in Hubs » Projects » Billing Terms.)

Defect 1947811: On the Expenses tab in Interactive Billing, when you selected an expense, clicked Modify, and on the Billing Expense Modify dialog box changed the entry in the Description field and clicked Modify, you received the following error message: "Row changed by another user."

Defect 1963430: In Interactive Billing, when you printed an invoice with the Billing Backup report, the report showed some expenses with quadrupled amounts. However, the amounts on the invoice were correct.


Cash Management >> Credit Card Review

Defect 1952838: On the Credit Card Review form, Vantagepoint continued to sort the transactions by the Credit Card column even when you specified to sort the records by the Posted Amount or Imported Amount column.


Documentation

Defect 1963798: The Period Exchange Rates help topic in Settings » Currency included an incorrect reference to re-evaluations. This reference has been removed.


Hubs >> Employee >> Employees

Defect 1964983: This issue applies if you have the payroll interface enabled and you set the Export to Pay option to Paychex in Settings » Accounting » Labor Options. On the Accounting tab of the Employees form, when you updated the value in the Paychex Employee Number field by adding a P in front of the number, you incorrectly received the following error message: "ADP File Number/Paychex Employee Number should only contain 0 - 9."

Defect 1967345: This issue applies if you have the ADP payroll interface turned on. On the Employees form, when you tried to save a change to an employee record, you received an error message saying that the ADP file number should be a numeric value between 51 and 999,999. This occurred when the ADP file number entered for an employee on the Accounting tab was between 1 and 51. You should have received a warning message instead of an error message.

Defect 1951536: This issue applies if you can enter project compensation amounts at all levels of the work breakdown (WBS) structure. When you displayed the Contract Management form in List View and then updated values at the phase level, Vantagepoint displayed a "Please Wait" message but did not continue loading.


Hubs >> Projects >> Plan

Defect 1839071: On the Expenses and Consultants tabs of the Plan form, the iButton online help text for the ETC Billing and ETC Cost fields was not clear. The following text now displays for these fields:

Defect 1849630: On the Labor tab of the Plan form, when you tried to redistribute the planned hours of a resource that did not have actual and future hours, you were unable to spread the hours proportionally across the specified date range.

Defect 1962731: On the Labor tab of the Plan form, in the middle grid section, the amount in the ETC Hours field for a resource was calculated incorrectly. This issue occurred when you rescheduled dates such that the assignment end date was the day after the job-to-date (JTD) date or when you reassigned the hours up until the estimate-to-complete (ETC) date.

Defect 1963606: On the Labor tab, in the Plan calendar, the Planned Billing field displayed an incorrect amount. This issue occurred because the cost rate was used in the calculation instead of the billing rate.

Defect 1965943: On the Labor tab, the amounts for the Planned Cost and Planned Billing fields at the task level (WBS3) did not tally with the amounts indicated in the phase level (WBS2). This issue occurred when, on the Labor tab in Other Actions » Plan Settings, there were two different generic resource assignments with different rates.


Hubs >> Projects >> Project

Defect 1937869: This issue occurred when you enabled autonumbering for projects and you created a project from an existing record that did not have an associated primary client or contact. When you later populated the Primary Client or Primary Contact field on the Edit Project Structure form, Vantagepoint did not display the role of the firm or team member as Owner on the Team tab of the new project.

Defect 1945562: When you selected the Accounting tab of the Projects form and opened the Billing Client dialog box, the Limit Contacts to selected Billing Company checkbox incorrectly displayed even though your user role did not have access to this feature.


My Stuff >> Calendar

Defect 1958767: This issue occurred when the total hours that you entered in your timesheet had a decimal value of 0.5. When you submitted your timesheet, the Total Hours field on the Submit Timesheet dialog box displayed a value that was rounded down instead of the actual total hours.

Defect 1938648: This issue occurred in dashparts with the Project Detail dashpart base. When you applied a collapsed grouping setting for a column, incorrect data was displayed in the dashpart.

Defect 1948696: This issue occurred in dashparts with the Favorite Report dashpart base. When you displayed the affected dashpart, the Save As option (disk icon) in the dashpart toolbar did not work.

Defect 1953785: When you created a new table dashpart that included EAC Planned Profit columns, you received this error message: "The given key was not present in the dictionary." This issue occurred when you worked on specific databases.


My Stuff >> Expense Report

Defect 1940977: This issue occurred when you created an expense report, attached a receipt to an expense line, and then saved the expense report. When you tried to open the attached receipt, the error message "{"Message":"The resource does not exist or you do not have access."}" displayed in the new browser tab instead of the receipt.


My Stuff >> Reporting

Defect 1842725: In a multicompany database, when you specified that the Project Earnings report was to be grouped and sorted by a user-defined field in ascending order, the generated file did not sort the data accordingly.

Defect 1932453: When you ran the Office Earnings report, clicked Download, and selected a file type for the report download, you received a Leave Sight dialog box informing you that the changes you made may not be saved. This issue occurred if you had selected a record for the report.

Defect 1933293: When you scrapped an asset at a loss and it was not fully depreciated, the Asset Summary report incorrectly showed a positive amount in the GL Cost - Recognized Gain or (Loss) column instead of a negative amount.

Defect 1938597: When you set to group the Project Earnings report by the Project Number field, the generated file did not display amounts in the planning columns. When you later added Phase Number and Task Number fields to group the data, the report displayed incorrect amounts.

Defect 1941279: This issue occurred for the following project reports:

When you generated any of the affected project reports, an error message was displayed instead of the report if you specified the following settings:

Defect 1945612: If you added a new calculated field to a saved report that contained one or more user-defined calculated fields and then ran the report, Vantagepoint overwrote the list of the user-defined calculated fields. As a result, the report excluded the values for the user-defined calculated field(s) and only displayed the value for the newly added calculated field.

Defect 1971183: This issue applied for projects with an awarded (won) stage that used the Use Revenue Forecasts allocation method. On the Project Forecast report, the JTD Earned Revenue column was not calculating correctly. Other columns that used the JTD Earned Revenue amount in their calculation also showed incorrect amounts.


My Stuff >> Timesheet

Defect 1892084: The Project/Phase/Task lookup required scrolling even when it contained a small number of records because projects were displayed multiple times in the list of records.


Purchasing >> Purchase Orders

Defect 1864719: If you applied autonumbering to the Firm and Vendor number fields in Settings » Workflow » Numbering, you could not display a purchase order in Purchasing » Purchase Orders.

Defect 1953567: When you copied purchase orders, line item distribution overrides were copied to the new purchase order record. This issue occurred intermittently for some records.


Purchasing >> Request for Price Quote

Defect 1955709: This issue applies if you use approvals for requests for price quotes and you had the Do Not Allow Employees to Approve Records They Have Created checkbox selected on the Workflow tab in Setting » Workflow » Approval Workflows (in the desktop application). On the Request for Price Quote form in Purchasing » Request for Price Quotes, when an approver reassigned the approval to the creator of the approval, an incorrect error message displayed: "Object reference not set to an instance of the object." The error message should have stated: "Some assignments were not added because the Employee is the creator of a record."

Defect 1955714: This issue applies if you use approvals for requests for price quotes. In Purchasing » Request for Price Quote (in the desktop application), on the Request for Price Quote form, you incorreclty received the following error message "Object reference not set to an instance of an object." This issue occurred when the following applied:

  1. On toolbar of the the Requiest for Price Quote form, you clicked List View.

  2. On the toolbar in list view, you clicked Approvals » Reassign.

  3. On the Change Assignment dialog box, you selected either Add New Assignment or Move New Assignment, added an employee, and clicked OK.


Search

Defect 1918752: When you selected a user-defined saved search in the Marketing Campaigns hub, you received the following error message: "Ambiguous column name 'CampaignID'."

Defect 1925252: If you added a new calculated field to a saved report that contained one or more user-defined calculated fields and then ran the report, Vantagepoint overwrote the list of the user-defined calculated fields. As a result, the generated report excluded the values for the user-defined calculated field(s) and only displayed the value for the newly added calculated field.


Settings >> Workflow >> Numbering

Defect 1892571: When you created a new project, the project number displayed an incorrect result that did not follow the mapped values. This issue occurred when the Project Number was configured to use autonumbering.


Transaction Center >> AP Invoice Approvals

Defect 1970773: On the AP Invoice Approvals form, after you uploaded an AP invoice, entered invoice information for it, and clicked Save, it did not save. When you clicked Submit, all the information that you had entered for it was gone.

This issue occurred when you did the following on the AP Invoice Approvals form:


Utilities >> Key Conversions >> Phases

Defect 1946591: This issue occurred when you ran a conversion on the Change Number tab of the Phases form. Even when the contract detail record was associated with both of the project records that you were converting, you received this error message "The key conversion cannot be run because Project / Phase XX has a contract detail record for a parent contract that does not appear in the contracts grid of Project XX."


Utilities >> Updates >> Search and Replace

Defect 733448: On the Search and Replace form, when you ran the search and replace process, you received the following error message: "The multi-part identifier "EmployeeCustomTabFields.<xxxxx>" could not be bound."

This issue occurred when you specified the following on the Search and Replace form:

Defect 1935479: When you used the Search and Replace utility to change the entry in the Invoice Template field in Billing Terms for a project, the entry in the field was incorrectly changed to Default, instead of being changed to the value that you entered in the Search and Replace utility.


Vantagepoint Connect

These Connect defects have been fixed and apply to all previous versions of Vantagepoint that support Connect (you do not need to update Vantagepoint to this MR to get these updates).
