Welcome to the Deltek Vantagepoint 6.0.1 Release Notes, which describe the new features and enhancements introduced in this release.
These release notes address all of the modules associated with Deltek Vantagepoint 5.5, some of which your firm may not use. Skip the sections that do not apply to your implementation of Deltek Vantagepoint.
Upgrade Touch Server to PHP 8.2.3
The Touch Server for this version of the Vantagepoint mobile application has been upgraded to support the PHP 8.2.3 security release.
Defect 1915100: On the Adjust Salaried Job Cost form, when you selected a posting in the grid and then selected Review Adjustments, only a few rows displayed in the grid of the Review Adjustments dialog box. You had to use the scroll bar to move past the blank space to see more rows in the grid.
Defect 1908237: This issue occurred if you use multiple languages in Vantagepoint. The format for the date in the Professional Services section on a billing invoice did not correctly use the date formatting determined by the Override regional settings fields on the Layout tab of the Invoice Template Editor form.
Defect 1933463: When you previewed or printed an invoice, you received an error message. This issue occurred when you designed invoices to have footers with user-defined field information in Settings » Billing » Invoice Template Editor.
Defect 1933508: When you printed an invoice from the Interactive Billing form, the user-defined fields in the invoice header did not display information. This issue occurred when, on the Project Info tab in Settings » Billing » Invoice Template Editor, you added standard fields before including user-defined fields in the Project Column Selection grid and you set the user-defined fields to display in the header of the invoice template.
Defect 1821162: This issue occurred when multiple payments for the same vendor were in the same payment run and one of the payment amounts was negative. The vendor was paid correctly. However, the Payment Register report showed an incorrect amount for one of the payments. The net amount of all the vendor payments displayed, instead of the amount for the one vendor payment.
Defect 1915072: This issue occurred in Hubs » Firms » Voucher Review. On the Vendor Payment form, if you left the Payment Type field blank during Vendor Payment, the voucher showed a balance after you posted it.
Defect 1890756: On the Time & Expense tab of the Employees form, the descriptions for the labor codes disappeared when you navigated away from the Employees hub.
Defect 1759916: This issue occurred in the Firms hub when firms had aliases or alternate names. When you entered aliases in the search field to find a firm, Vantagepoint did not display matching records in the results.
Defect 1842877: In Voucher Review, when you edited the Billed Invoice Number field on an AP Disbursement that was entered using a credit card payment, you received this error message: "Code 9-98014 does not exist. The value for field BankCode will not be set."
Defect 1912021: This issue occurred on the Contract tab of the Contract Management form when you updated the Contract Management and Contract Details grids. When the value that you entered in the Contract Number field contained special characters, your changes were not displayed in the Contract Details grid the next time that you opened the project.
Defect 1923385: On the Labor tab, when you reassigned a resource and clicked Reassign on the Reassign dialog box, the loading process took longer than expected. You also received an error message and the following functions were not operable:

Defect 1893789: The contents of the Project Details field in the Summary Pane of the Project form disappeared when you modified a field on the Overview tab of the project record and saved the changes.
Defect 1901680: In the Projects hub, when you clicked a field that displayed in a user-defined hub, you received an error message. However, you did not receive the same error when you selected the same field in the Firms hub. This issue occurred if the system administrator did not grant access rights to the user-defined hub for your role.
Defect 1914105: This issue occurred when a project had the same charge company associated with its phases or tasks. When you deleted a task, you received the following error message: "Violation of PRIMARY KEY constraint 'PRChargeCompaniesPK'."
Defect 1893854: When you submitted a timesheet with zero hours, you did not receive an error message or warning message.
Defect 1878307: This issue occurred for amount columns in dashparts with the project dashpart base, for project records with different project and billing currencies. When you configured the dashpart with a presentation currency, the values for affected amount columns were incorrect.
Defect 1892292: This issue occurred for dashparts with the project dashpart base that included the Project Photo column. You were unable to export the affected dashparts as a comma-separated values (CSV) file.
Defect 1265674: This issue occurred in the Project List report when you set the following report options on the Columns & Groups tab:
In the Grouping and Sorting section, you included groupings by Organization and Estimated Fees.
In the Columns section, you included all columns.
When you applied a fifth grouping in the Grouping and Sorting section, you received the following error message: "SQL Reporting Error creating Project List RDL file: More than one report item in the report has the name ‘Textbox5’. Report item names must be unique within a report."
Defect 1463611: Although the Description column is available for project reports and data exports, you should not select it because the internal PR.Description field is not used in Vantagepoint.
Defect 1706401: In the desktop application, when you ran the Asset Detail or Asset Summary reports, the reports showed more asset records than expected. The reports should have included only those asset records that your role has permission to access.
Defect 1841473: This issue occurred when you saved the Top Bottom Performers - Won Projects report as a favorite report. If you ran the report again from the Favorites tab, the date for the Based on summary table option did not refresh. As a result, Vantagepoint displayed the original date instead of the most recent date on which you ran the report.
Defect 1600185: When you created an absence request and added a comment before submitting the timesheet, multi-line HTML descriptions were displayed in place of the comment text.
Defect 1907467: When you generated a billing invoice or timesheet report from an expense report, multi-line HTML descriptions displayed if you included expense comments or unit details in the expense report.
Defect 1914164: On the Custom Search dialog box, when you clicked the Relative Dates option in the Timesheet Field and then selected the option to display timesheets in the last month, Vantagepoint did not display records from timesheet periods that contained dates in the last month but started or ended in a different month.
Defect 1922047: On the Timesheets form, a project was not added to a timesheet when you clicked Other Actions » Copy from Plan and then, on the Plan Assignments dialog box, selected a project and clicked Copy to Timesheet. This issue occurred if you set the Type of Validation option to Warning or Error in the Budget Validation section of the Accounting tab in the Projects hub.
Defect 1915133: When you tried to print a report of an approved timesheet from My Stuff » Timesheet or selected the Include Signed/Approved checkbox in the Timesheet Audit Detail report options in My Stuff » Reporting, Vantagepoint did not display the name of the approver in the generated timesheet report.
Defect 1907028: On the Purchasing tab of the Project Review form, the P.O. Amount field did not reflect the correct amount if you did the following:
On the Line Items tab of the Purchase Order form, you selected the Distribution Overrides option.
You submitted the purchase order record for approval and it was approved and finalized.
On the Purchasing tab of the Project Review form, you set the Purchase Orders to Include option to All.

When you reassigned hours from one employee to another, you received a message that the resource hours were successfully reassigned, but no hours were reassigned.
Defect 1931390: In Resource View, when you tried to reassign estimate-to-complete (ETC) hours at the project level, the application seemed to load continuously and you could not proceed. This issue occurred when you were assigned to assignments at several levels of the WBS and one of the project levels only had hours before the ETC.
Defect 1894124: This issue occurred in Hubs » Projects » Plan on the Labor tab, when you applied Employees Only to the Resource Type field for a saved search. When you assigned resources and ran the same search, Vantagepoint displayed both Employees and Generic Resources instead of Employees Only.
Defect 1894241: When you opened an advanced search from a grid column and then either used Quick Find or clicked +New Search to locate records for selection, Vantagepoint set the underlying grid row from edit mode to view mode. As a result, the Apply/Apply All button became unresponsive (because the grid row was no longer in edit mode to set the advanced search results).
Defect 1894128: Overtime hours were excluded when you set the following options:
You set Enable Accrual on Hours Worked to Yes.
You set Enable Overtime Hours to Yes.
(The result was correct, but the Enable Overtime Hours option was originally intended to be named Exclude Overtime Hours.)
Starting in release 6.0.1, the Enable Overtime Hours option has been changed to Exclude Overtime Hours. For related information, see the Contents of the Absence Accrual Form topic in the online help.
Defect 1419162: When you added a secondary credit card, you received this error message: "Please resolve the following errors: Code is required." This issue occurred even when you entered the correct code (without spaces) in the Code field.
Defect 1908190: When a language other than en-US was enabled, the Analysis Cubes build failed and you received the following error message: “The selected language is not enabled for the database. Select an enabled language for this database to continue."
Defect 1910800: When Analysis Cubes was rebuilt (by a system administrator for on-premises Vantagepoint customers or by the Deltek Cloud team for Vantagepoint Cloud customers), the build failed if you had a user-defined field with a label that exceeded 95 characters. To prevent this from happening, you must reduce the number of characters in the user-defined field label to be fewer than 95 before rebuilding Analysis Cubes.
Defect 1712799: This issue occurred in a user-defined hub that contained an Activities grid. When you selected the +Add Activity link, entered details for the activity, and saved the record, you received this error message: "Field (name or number) does not exist."
Defect 1894571: This issue occurred in Screen Designer after you selected the Restore Defaults action and saved the default settings. If you returned to Screen Designer and changed the field security for a divider, label, or button element to Hidden or Displayed and saved this change, the field security setting was not actually saved.
Defect 1906356: On the Tab Security Rights dialog box in Screen Designer, if you edited access rights for some security roles and ran the Screen Designer Security Audit Trail report, Vantagepoint displayed incorrect entries for other security roles that you had not changed.
Issue 1840281: Removed access to previously deprecated/unused API calls.
