Modify a Billing Transaction

In Interactive Billing, you can modify some of the information for a labor, expense, or unit transaction before you bill it. For example, you can change information such as the comment, description, hours, amount, or quantity for a transaction.

These modifications do not affect your general ledger or project reports. They affect only billing invoices.

To modify data for a billing transaction, complete the following steps:

  1. In the Navigation pane, select Billing > Interactive Billing.
  2. Complete the information in the Billing Session Options dialog box.
  3. On the Interactive Billing form, open the project.
  4. Click the Labor, Expense, or Units tab, based on the type of transaction that you are modifying.
  5. Select the check box at the beginning of the row for the transaction that you want to modify.
  6. On the grid actions bar, click the Modify action.
  7. On the Billing Labor Modify, Billing Expense Modify, or Billing Unit Modify dialog box, make changes to any of the fields that are editable.
  8. Click Modify.
