Set Options for Printing a Transaction Report

You can specify printing options for transaction reports.

To set printing options:

  1. In the Navigation pane, select Transaction Center > Transaction Entry and then select All Transactions or one of the individual transaction types.
    The grid on the form that is displayed lists all transactions of the type that you selected.

    The transaction type list is filtered based on your security role's access rights. If you use multiple companies, this list is further refined based on the active company. See the Accounting tab of Role Security for more information.

  2. In the grid, select the check box next to the transaction that you want to include in the transaction report, click Other Actions > Show Reporting Options on the grid toolbar, and then click Print on the grid toolbar.
  3. In the Document Properties section of the Layout dialog box:
    1. Set the Unit of Measure to inches or millimeters.
    2. Set the margins.
    3. To generate the report as an archive report and subsequently you want to display that archive report as a dashpart, select the Show Condensed View for Dashparts option.
    4. Specify the orientation and page size.
  4. In the Font and Border section of the Layout dialog box, specify the font and alternate row color, and whether or not you want to include border lines.
  5. In the Header and Footer section of the Layout dialog box, you can specify heading dates, a heading background color, and text.
  6. In the Number, Date, and HTML Formatting section of the Layout dialog box:
    1. To select the regional settings that are used to format dates and numbers on the report, select the settings in the Default Format field.
    2. To have standard HTML formatting applied to Memo fields on the report, select the HTML Formatting check box.
    3. To change number, currency, or date/time formatting, click the Edit icon beside the appropriate sample and use the dialog box that is displayed to update the formatting.
  7. To save the current settings for use in future sessions, on the Actions bar of the Layout dialog box, click Save and use the resulting dialog box to specify a name for the report and who can access the saved settings.
  8. To print the report, send it as an email attachment, or schedule it to print at a later time, use Actions bar options on the Layout dialog box.
  9. In the Report Name field on the General tab of the Transaction List dialog box, enter a name for the transaction list.
