Options for Advanced Search Settings

Additional fields display on the Search dialog box when you turn on advanced search options. Use these fields to build an advanced search that includes multiple criteria and rows, operators, and groups that allow you to use AND and OR conditions.

In the second line, the field says Select a Field and the operator is set to = until you select a field. The value field is disabled in this row until you select a field.

Advanced Settings

Turn this toggle on to show the advanced search settings. When Advanced Settings are in use, the Search grid includes these additional fields: Select Field: Select the check box next to each condition (row) that you want to include in a search group. This allows you to group multiple conditions and create different levels of the search. See the Group Search Conditions online help topic for more information. AND/OR: Use this field to join each condition that makes up the search. The AND/OR selector is enabled when you enter more than one condition (row) in the search. It is not enabled for the last condition. Deltek recommends that you select either all ANDs or all ORs in these fields. Change Order: Click on a grid row to move the condition up or down in the search. When you create a group for a search, the order in which conditions display in the grid is the order in which they are executed in the search or group.
