Using the Help Search
  • Phrase:Returns all topics that contain the exact phrase in the search criteria. Use quotation marks around the phrase.
    Ex."system administration"
  • And:Returns all topics that contain all the words in the search criteria, in any combination. Insert a plus sign between all words in the search criteria.
    Ex.system + administration
  • Or:Returns all topics with any combination of words in the search criteria. This is the default.

Drill Down for Detail on a Report

For some fields, you can drill down on a report to display more information about a value on the report. Vantagepoint displays the related detail in a separate window.

Report data from which you can drill down is identified by bright blue text. In many cases, you can drill down on the following:

  • Record Numbers or Names: Vantagepoint displays additional information from that record. For example, if you drill down on a project number, Vantagepoint displays related information about the project.
  • Numeric data: Vantagepoint displays the supporting detail for the report amount.
Some reports may also contain data that have supporting documents associated with them. When you drill down to a transaction or data that has documents associated with it, click the document icon to view the supporting documentation in the application that you use to view .PDF files rather than use the standard Preview window. Report examples include:
  • AP Posting Log
  • Expense Detail
  • Project Summary
  • Expense Summary
  • Office Earnings

Keep in mind that you cannot drill down from reports that you download to files and display in other applications.
