Synchronize a Vantagepoint Calendar Event with Your Outlook Calendar

You can quickly add a Vantagepoint meeting or event to your Outlook calendar. The meeting's details, as well as associated contacts and employees who attended the meeting, are added as well. These contacts and employees will be invited to the meeting using Outlook's standard functionality.

To add a Vantagepoint meeting to your Outlook calendar:

  1. In Vantagepoint, open the Hubs and select any Activity grid.
  2. Add a meeting as an activity and select any type that has a display of Calendar as the activity's Type.
Vantagepoint synchronizes activities to your Outlook calendar where you are an attendee and the Type has a display of Calendar. For example, you might have types that are designated for Phone Calls and Client Visits that are calendar activities. These phone calls and client visits would be added to your Outlook calendar.

The activity is added to your Outlook calendar when the next synchronization occurs or you can click Settings > Force Synchronization to synchronize the information immediately.

Your Vantagepoint administrator determines which activity types are designated as Calendar in Settings > Labels and Lists > Lists.

Only activities from the past two weeks and into the future are synchronized. Activities more than two weeks in the past from the current date are not synchronized. (Those activities remain in both applications if they were synced previously, but they are no longer updated). This prevents outdated Vantagepoint data from being added to your Outlook calendar.
