Using the Help Search
  • Phrase:Returns all topics that contain the exact phrase in the search criteria. Use quotation marks around the phrase.
    Ex."system administration"
  • And:Returns all topics that contain all the words in the search criteria, in any combination. Insert a plus sign between all words in the search criteria.
    Ex.system + administration
  • Or:Returns all topics with any combination of words in the search criteria. This is the default.

Initial Log In

The first time that you use Vantagepoint, you must enter a valid user ID and password. Your welcome email message includes a link to the login page.

To log in:

  1. Use your Vantagepoint URL to display the login page.
  2. In the User ID field, enter SETUP.
  3. In the Password field, enter the password included in your welcome email message.
  4. In the Database field, select the database that you want to use.
  5. In the Language field, select the language that you want to use.
    When you access the Vantagepoint URL for the first time, the application attempts to match the language used in your browser settings to a language supported by Vantagepoint. If your browser setting language is not found in the supported list, Vantagepoint defaults to US English. If you select a different language, the screen refreshes in that language.

    After you select a language, Vantagepoint defaults to that language until you make a different selection.

  6. Click Log In.
    The Vantagepoint Getting Started page displays the Activation menu.
