Lock a Style Guide from Editing

As an administrator or an author, lock a style guide to restrict other users from editing its formatting settings. This prevents inconsistencies and unexpected changes to your style guide.

To lock a style guide from editing:

1. For a given project, open the Format page for style guides.
2. On the Style Guides tab of the Format page, hover over a style guide that you want to lock.
   Note: If you are an author, you can only lock style guides that you created.
3. On the style guide, click .
   The style guide now displays a red lock icon (). Other users can no longer modify the document and formatting settings of the style guide.
