Using the Help Search
  • Phrase:Returns all topics that contain the exact phrase in the search criteria. Use quotation marks around the phrase.
    Ex."system administration"
  • And:Returns all topics that contain all the words in the search criteria, in any combination. Insert a plus sign between all words in the search criteria.
    Ex.system + administration
  • Or:Returns all topics with any combination of words in the search criteria. This is the default.

Contents of the Project Schedule Page

Use the contents of this page to manage a project's schedule and keep track of its milestones.

Navigate to the following contents:

Milestones (Timeline)

In the Milestones timeline, the following design phases are available:
  • Project Created
  • Pre-Design
  • Schematic Design
  • Design Development
  • Construction Documents
  • Bidding & Negotiation
  • Construction Administration
  • Facilities Management

Each design phase displays with the following information:

Item Description
Order Number This number indicates the place of the design phase through the entire design timeline.

When the project team completes the design phase, which is when the target completion date matches the current date, a (check icon) replaces the order number for the design phase.

Design Phase Name This indicates the name of the design phase.
Target Completion Date This indicates the date when the project team aims to complete the design phase.

By default, each design phase displays in black. When the project team completes the design phase, the design phase displays in green.

Milestones Form - Design Phases

On the milestones form, the following design phases are available for you to specify completion dates and LOSs:
  • Project Created
  • Pre-Design
  • Schematic Design
  • Design Development
  • Construction Documents
  • Bidding & Negotiation
  • Construction Administration
  • Facilities Management

Each design phase displays with the following information:

Item Description
Order Number This number indicates the place of the design phase through the entire design process.

When the project team completes the design phase, a (check icon) replaces the order number for the design phase.

Design Phase Name This indicates the name of the design phase.
Target Completion Date This indicates the date when the project team aims to complete the design phase.

By default, each design phase displays in black. When the project team completes the design phase, the design phase displays in green.

Milestones Form - Columns

On the milestones form, the following fields in the following columns are available for each design phase except for Project Created:

Note: Only administrators and authors can modify values in the fields on this form.
Field Description
Target Completion Date Select the date when the project team aims to complete the design phase.
This field has the following rules:
  • You can select only a date that is the same as or after the target completion date of an earlier design phase, if any.
  • When you select a date that exceeds the target completion date of a later design phase, you will receive a warning message.
Actual Completion Date Select the date when the project team completed the design phase.
This field has the following rules:
  • You can select only a date that is the same as or after the actual completion date of an earlier design phase, if any.
  • When you select a date that exceeds the actual completion date of a later design phase, you will receive a warning message.
Current Level of Specification (LOS) Select the current LOS for the design phase. Current LOS is a non-static value intended to be updated as elements are further developed to clarify current progress.

Target Level of Specification (LOS) Select the target LOS for the design phase. The Target LOS is intended to be determined early in the project to clarify prioritization.
