Using the Help Search
  • Phrase:Returns all topics that contain the exact phrase in the search criteria. Use quotation marks around the phrase.
    Ex."system administration"
  • And:Returns all topics that contain all the words in the search criteria, in any combination. Insert a plus sign between all words in the search criteria.
    Ex.system + administration
  • Or:Returns all topics with any combination of words in the search criteria. This is the default.

Contents of the Project Manufacturers Window

Use the contents of this window to view the specified manufacturers and products in a given family.

Manufacturer List

This list shows the manufacturers that the A/E firm specified in the family and previews the following information for each manufacturer.

Field Description
Manufacturer: Product Name This displays the name of the manufacturer or the product listing.
Specified This indicates whether the family includes the manufacturer/product listing as a specified product. The following options are available:
  • Yes: This indicates that the A/E firm specified/selected the product listing in the family.
  • No: This indicates that the A/E firm did not specify or select the product listing within the family. The family includes only manufacturer/product listing as a listed product or an available option for its product type.
Product Type This displays the product type under which the manufacturer or its product listing belongs.

To sort the list of manufacturers based on the previewed information, click a header.

Family Detail

This displays the outline and content headers of the family element.

For e-SPECS projects, this list displays the product content in the following hierarchy:
  • Article
    • Paragraph Title/Key
For Specpoint projects, this list displays the product content in the following hierarchy:
  • Article
    • Paragraph Title/Key: Selected Values
