Enable the Narrative Score Feature

You must have valid artificial intelligence login credentials entered into the EPM Security Administrator tool to enable and utilize the Narrative Score feature.

For more information on the fields in this procedure, see the "AI Tab of System Settings" topic in the Deltek EPM Security Administrator Help System.

If you encounter issues in your AI connection set up, contact your System Administrator.

To enable the Narrative Score feature:

1. Log into the EPM Security Administrator tool.

2. On the Navigation menu, click Configuration » System Settings.

3. Click the AI tab and do the following in the Azure OpenAI Authentication pane:

• In the API Key field, enter the text string provided when the Azure OpenAI account is created.

• In the Deployment field, enter the name of the deployment you want to use.

For the selected deployment, make sure that the Version Update Policy in Azure OpenAI is set to Once a new default version is available. This will ensure a consistent connection with PM Compass and Azure OpenAI.

• In the Endpoint URL field, enter the URL that directs to the current instance of Azure OpenAI referenced in the Deployment field.

4. Click the Test Connection button.

• If the connection is successful, a "Connection Successful" message displays.

• If the connection is not successful, a "Connection Failed. Please make sure credentials are valid message." displays.

5. Once the connection is successful, click the Save button to ensure that the information is saved.
