Use this dialog box to modify the current password of any user on an application supported by the EPM Security Administrator (EPM SA).
Before any user can use the Weblink utility for the first time, you (as the system administrator) must set up the Weblink password. After the password is set, any user with the password can access the utility from any computer on the network via the Weblink URL.
When you add a new user to the security tables, the EPM SA automatically assigns the default password (PASSWORD). In most cases, you can change the said password, and give the new user a unique password.
You can change your SYSADMIN password in the same way you change the password for any other user. If you have not already done so, you should change your password as soon as possible.
Users can later change
their own password in any supported Deltek application, such as Open
Plan Professional and Cobra. For example, in Cobra, the Change Password
dialog box displays by clicking File » Change Password.
The password that is changed in a supported application is automatically
encrypted and stored in the security tables. Thus, each user has a
single password for all applications working from the same data source.
This field displays the User ID of the currently selected user.
Enter the new password for the selected user in this field. A password can contain a maximum of 128 alphanumeric and special characters.
You can only use a blank password if you set the minimum password length to zero (0).
Reenter the new password for the selected user in this field.
Click this button to save all changes and close the dialog box.
Click this button to close the dialog box without saving your changes.
When you upgraded the database using the PPM Encryption Conversion Utility tool and have not yet changed your password in another PPM product, however, you are required to change your password the first time you log on to EPM Security Administrator. Clicking Cancel returns you to the Login dialog box.
