Types of Resource Scheduling
Open Plan provides for two basic approaches to resource scheduling.
These are as follows:
- Time-limited resource scheduling
- Resource-limited resource scheduling
If a resource is required by an activity but no availability has been specified for that resource, Open Plan assumes that the resource is unconstrained and displays a warning during resource scheduling. (You can also specify individual resources as having unconstrained availability at run time.) In this way, you can determine the overall demand for a resource by a project without having constraints imposed by the resource's availability affect the calculation of scheduled dates.
