Use the Absence Requests subtab to create a new absence request, specifying the number of days, the absence type, and a reason for the absence, such as illness.
Note: Use the Secretary tab to create / submit absence requests for employees for whom you are secretary.
To register employee absences:

Go to

Click
New Absence Request.

In the
Absence Type field, enter or select an absence type.
Note: Maconomy automatically displays an absence type, depending on what you set as default during employee vacation period setup.

In the
Duration field, enter the number of days or hours of absence.

If you have selected a different time unit from the default value shown in the
Absence Type field, in the
Time Unit field, select one of the following options from the drop-down list:

Days
-
Hours
Note: If your selected time unit is
Hours, and you chose a date in the
First Day of Absence
field but left the
Last Day of Absence
field blank, Maconomy automatically distributes the hours according to the employee’s working hours per day.
Attention: Maconomy will not accept an absence request in a time unit that differs from the default value for the appropriate vacation period. An error message displays stating that the time unit value must be changed and duration should be reconsidered accordingly.

Enter information in the other fields as needed.
