Change Web Password Using the InTeract Client

The Change Password menu item on the InTeract Client is used to change the password you use to log in to the Web application. A user that has access to the Change Password button may change his or her password via the Web or the InTeract Client.

To change your web password using the InTeract Client:

  1. Log in to the InTeract Client.

  2. Select the Change Password option.

  3. Enter your Old Password, New Password, and Confirm New Password.

If your new password does not meet the requirements in your Password Profile, an error message will display to let you know why the password is incorrect (for example, Must have at least 6 characters).

If the new password has any of the following characters, an Invalid Password error will display:

    #  %  \  '  ?   =  +  &

You cannot use the above characters in your password.

    Click Save.

Change Password is available in the TERMINAL_DEFAULT Menu Tree. It allows the Change Password button to display on a terminal. If the Change Password menu item has been removed, however, you must add it to the Menu Tree of the Terminal Profile.

If your password has been reset or has expired, you must update your password using the web application.
